The BDS movement in Luxembourg

The BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanctions) is a targeted campaign based on the basic premise that Palestinians deserve the same basic human rights as all other people. The most powerful way, perhaps even more than using our voices, is knowing how we spend our money, and who that money goes to. Major consumer brands like Starbucks and McDonald's are the primary international targets as they have been linked to supporting the genocide. Learn more about targeted Boycotts here: BDS guide.

In Luxembourg, you can support BDS with a consumer boycott.

Consumer Boycotts in Luxembourg

Israeli produce to Boycott

If you're not in the habit of checking the country of origin on fruit and vegetables you may not have noticed just how much Israeli produce is in our shops and supermarkets. While we have been munching our way through its avocados, Israel has demolished Palestinian homes, evicted their occupants and taken over their land and water resources.

To make sure your money is not funding Apartheid

1. Look for the country of Origin at the back of boxes or on labels in your supermarkets and avoid all produce from Israel.

2. Write to your supermarkets to stop stocking these products. Please write to serviceclients@delhaize.be and Auchan https://www.auchan.lu/fr/contact.

3. For products with a bar code, download the mobile app No Thanks app on apple or android to scan QR codes

4. Here is a list of products we have found in supermarkets across Luxembourg.

5. Follow on struggleforPalestine on instagram to get updates and to let us know when you come across these products

6. To Boycott brands supporting Israeli apartheid when you shop online on websites like Amazon. Download Palestinian Pact chrome extension to simplify your BDS commitments. PalestinePact automatically scans products on all major websites and blurs them if they are linked to the BDS list.
